We recently had Debbie and her lovely two girls into the studio for some photos. It’s always great to get to meet new people and photograph them in the studio and Debbie’s two girls were lovely and we had loads of fun and captured some lovely relaxed photos of them all.

We’ve had loads of babies into the studio over the last few months and its been great getting to meet them all and their parents! We always approach our baby shoots in a very relaxed and unpressured way making sure we have loads of time to everyone comfortable although we all have off days and babies are just the same so if it’s not working we just book them back in for another sitting at no extra cost so there’s never any pressure or stress with getting the picture parents love.

Today saw the lovely wedding of Paul & Louise at Dean’s Place Hotel. On what must have been the warmest October day ever the happy couple were able to have their ceremony in the garden in the gazebo. After a lovely emotion filled ceremony it was off into the lovely grounds of the hotel for the drinks reception and group photos. We managed to fit in two sessions with the bride and groom which allowed us to have some fun later in the day when it started to get dark. Another lovely wedding with a fabulous couple – I love my job and a good wedding!

Today saw the lovely wedding of Richard and Gemma at Michelham Priory. Having work with Gemma mum for a number of year it was really special to be asked to photograph Gemma’s wedding. We started the day with photographing the preparations at Gemma’s house before heading over to Michelham priory to catch up with Richard and the men. It turned out it had been a real hectic morning as Richard’s brothers wife had gone into labor overnight so he was unable to ttended the wedding due to getting very little sleep and having a new baby!

After a lovely ceremony it was off into the lovely grounds of the priory for the group photos and then photos of Richard and Gemma before heading off to the Horseshoe in at Herstmonceux for the wedding breakfast. When we got to the  Horseshoe we found that Richards brother had managed to come along to see the happy couple so we quickly got some photos including the fun and somewhat hilarious photo of all the men on the climbing frame!

A truly lovely wedding with a fantastic couple.

Today saw the wedding celebration of Rami & Rebecca at Seaford Golf Club (Blatchington). Although the weather was a bit changeable on the day we still managed to get out onto the 18th for some group photos whilst keeping an eye out for golf balls!  After the group photos and the wedding breakfast we managed to whisk the bride and groom away for some photos on their own inside the club house to save us getting wet!

Today saw the very different wedding of Gayle & Alan at St Peter’s Church in Seaford. It was different as the happy couple had decided on a western theme for their wedding. The day started with photos of the brides preparations before heading to the church for photos of the groom before the bride arrived in a horse drawn carriage!

After a few photos outside the Church after the ceremony it was off to the Crouch Gardens in Seaford for the group photos and a session with the bride and groom (not to mention a few more with the horses and carrige!) before heading in to the Constitutional Club in Seaford for the wedding reception.

Today saw the wedding of Rob & Jemma at one of Seaford’s best kept secrets Florence House. This lovely venue is set in acres of private land and is a lovely setting for a wedding as you can see from the photos. Rob and Jemma decided to do things differently to most and opted for a giant Tepee in the ground of the house which was quite amazing with tonnes of space inside for everyone. Although we had a little dip in the weather it did allow us to get a rather special photo of the rainbow over the tepee!

Today saw the wedding of Duncan & Amy at St Peter’s Church, Blatchington. After a few quick photos it was off to the church to meet up with the groom and all the guest at the church and then await the arrival of the bride. In a slight change of plan it had been decided that I’d be known as Max the photographer for the day rather than Matt which did cause a little confusion at times! Anyway after a lovely service it was off to Dean’s Place for the wedding reception and photos. A lovely wedding day and a lovely couple.

I met Mark & Lucie a couple of years ago after a bad experience at one of the larger wedding fairs which had made them rather cautious of photographers! Once we got talking and they relaxed after the hard sells and being chased round the winter gardens we got on really well and it was one of those bookings that you really hope would happen – and it did. After a windswept pre-wedding shoot with the lovely Filmo (who did seem more interested in chasing a ball than having photos done) it was full steam ahead to the special day. And what a lovely day – we started with a few sneaky photos of the groom with the Ferrari ride that Lucie had arranged for him as a surprise  start to the day before rushing off to the brides home for photos of her preparations. It was then back to Dean’s Place for photos of the groom before awaiting Lucie’s arrival. I could go into all sorts of details about the day but I won’t all I’ll say is it a was a lovely, special day with a couple who felt like old friends and was a pleasure and an honor to be part of their day.

Today saw me photographing a wedding at a venue that will always be special to me as my wife and I got married there a number of years ago.

Today though was all about Lyn & Dave and their wedding at the English Wine Centre near Alfriston . It was a lovely sunny day and just perfect for their wedding day which consisted of two ceremonies – one at the wine centre and then the other after a short coach journey at the lovely Berwick Church. If you’ve never been to Berwick church it’s well worth a visit as after a lovely walk down a flower filled passage you come to a lovely little church which has some most impressive murals – well worth a look. Anyway after a lovely blessing at the church it was back on the coaches to the drinks reception at the English Wine Centre followed by a few photos.

A lovely wedding day and a small trip down memory lane for me – perfect!
